Bacara Hotel in Goleta, California
The Bacara Hotel has perfect temperatures: perfect temperature of champagne at arrival, perfect temperature in the rooms, perfect temperature in the pool. Because we enjoyed ourselves so thoroughly, the Bacara became the golden standard. There are no beach front hotels in Santa Barbara, CA. All of the hotels are across the street from the beach. So, if you drive 11 miles to Goleta, you’ll find the Bacara which is the closest luxury hotel actually on the beach. There’s an incredible energy to this place. Any time I think about a vacation to rest, relax and recharge, I think about the Bacara.
When we were there last, the restaurant was, ummm, lacking. There was a juice bar by the fountain where we could get breakie items and smoothies that we highly enjoyed, but since then, they’ve switched things up a bit and now have a new casual dining concept the ‘O’ Bar and Kitchen. From this review, it sounds yum. Not that I needed another reason to go back to the Bacara, but now I have one.
